Welcome to Computer Finance Ltd, a young creative finance company that funds vendor or end user hardware, software and services from just a few months via short term rentals, to 5 years and sometimes longer. We have in our team bankers, proven entrepreneurs and salesmen used to addressing the financial issues in a coal face sales situation. All this resource is now at your disposal.

CFL provide end user funding for new and existing hardware, software and peripherals. Funding is available via rental from 12 to 24 months and by lease from 24 to 60 months. All rates are subject to status, however indicative rates for a company which has traded for 3 years or more and is profitable might be between 4.5% and 7% flat. Such a lease might contain a hardware/software split circa 50/50. Rates are dependant on what we are funding with intangibles funding usually carrying a small premium over asset based funding.

As well as offering conventional IT Finance, CFL have available a funding solution for customers who are struggling with the institutions. This unique ‘sub prime’ rental product is called an I.T. Contract Plan, and is only available from CFL.

An IT Contract Plan provides the more challenging credits with a two year lease / rental where we look to the asset rather than your balance sheet to secure funding. A typical Contract Plan customer might be a new start company, VC backed, loss making, turnaround company or a new subsidiary of a parent organization not willing to give performance guarantees. An IT Contract Plan also addresses the ‘cart before the horse’ dilemma where for example a large server is required to win a contract or project and the expenditure must be made prior to the contract being awarded. We currently fund Contract Plans between £5k and £100k.

CFL have offices in London and Yorkshire. Funding is achieved via our funding partners and their brokerage network which currently offers us access to over 20 lessors. All documentation is drafted between the customer and the lessor directly. CFL can work on a fee basis with vendors selling funds out at cost or ‘less’. More normally we work on a commission basis paid to us by the lessor.

As hardware is rapidly becoming a commodity item CFL can ‘source product’ for end users via a selection of CFL approved and manufacturer accredited suppliers who not having a cost of sale are under contract to provide us with strong prices which often allow us to reduce or waive our interest charges entirely.

CFL is about using finance to enhance your products and to present the end user with a method of acquisition that allows him to build and grow the customer supplier relationship for many years. We don’t want to sell finance we do want to help you sell your products and services.
